2017 is coming to the end, and 2018 will be here soon. Trends are changing constantly, and some of them should be left in the expiring year, while others can be boldly rocked in 2018 and after. Today I’d like to share those trends that have been on top this year and will be still there next year, too. These are copper in decor, decorative and eye-catchy walls and tile kitchen backsplashes, the latter being all-time classics. Let’s take a closer look at some ideas to implement these trends.
Copper
Metallic decor is extremely popular today, and using brass, copper and other metals and even mixing them in different ways is an amazing idea to spruce up an interior a little bit and make it more shiny. But the trendiest of them all is copper of course, and it’s not surprising: copper fits many color combos, looks cool with other materials and is an interesting and eye-catchy take on brass. Besides, copper can fit any space from an industrial to a vintage-inspired one, which is a great advantage, just keep the style of your space in mind when choosing designs. Copper can be added to your home decor in different ways: lamps, accessories, furniture and even sinks and bathtubs are welcome to create a bold and trendy look.
Decorative Walls
All means are good to add interest to your space, and decorative walls are still in trend as one of the easiest ideas. You can use anything you want: bold paint, eye-catchy wallpaper, natural or faux stone and wood, various decorative panels and so on. Some of the panels will also be functional, for example, you can go for sound-proofing ones. It can be just one accent wall or all the walls covered or clad with something very bold, the main idea is to achieve a harmonious yet interesting look and not to be excessive with it.
Tile Backsplashes
Though many people prefer glass, metal and brick backsplashes for kitchens, tile ones are still the most popular. The secret is simple: there are different kinds of tiles and different prints and colors, so you will easily find something for your space. Adding a textural touch, tiles highlight your kitchen style without adding something different like metal, for example. From neutral geometric tiles to bold and colorful mosaics, there is anything you can imagine! Get some ideas below and choose something for your own space.
