Swimming pools are traditionally built outside but what if you live in a region with harsh weather conditions? Or maybe the summer is too short and you want to enjoy swimming longer? Then building an indoor pool is your priority.
An indoor swimming pool maybe located in the basement of your home or in a separate pavilion is a great idea for anyone, it’ll help you to withstand any weather conditions. So what are the ideas for an indoor pool?
Indoor Swimming Pool In Your Basement
If you have a basement that is large enough, creating there your own home spa is a cool idea that will help you to relax after a long and hard day. Put there a Jacuzzi and maybe a lap pool, or a big one if it can be accommodated there. Add much lights, and I would also advise you to make inner pool lights because basements often lack light and if you do everything right, you’ll get a space full of light. Besides, inner pool lights look awesome and inviting! One more cool idea is to place some potted greenery and flowers around to make the space look like an orangery. You can also put some big beautiful lanterns on the corners of your pool to add style and light.
Swimming Pools In Separate Pavilions
If you have enough outdoor space, build a separate pavilion combined with a pool house and make a pool inside it to avoid any bad weather surprises. The secret here is making glass walls if possible, glass doors and maybe a glass ceiling to let the light and nature inside. When it’s warm and you like the weather, you can open all the doors and be almost outside. A glass ceiling will let the light in even in the bad weather, and you’ll feel like in your private relaxation sanctuary.
Indoor Swimming Pools With A View
If you have adorable views from the place where you live, you can go for a pavilion or if you have a tall footing, place your swimming pool there. Just use glazings extensively, make all-glass walls and maybe the ceilings, too. This will let a lot of light inside and you’ll feel like outside, will enjoy the adorable views and still feel comfortable even if it’s raining outside – such a cool feeling!
