Every home has lots of eye sores that may spoil the whole look. I’d like to share some super easy and cool life hacks that will help you to cover these eye sores or fix them somehow without spending plenty of money or time, most of these ideas can be easily DIYed.
Laundry Hampers And Trash Cans
Usual laundry hampers are rather ugly and can spoil any bathroom look. Stash your laundry hampers in extra deep drawers that will perfectly match your bathroom, laundry or even bedroom décor and you’ll forget about it.
The same can be done with an ugly trash can. You can make a special cabinet for it or hide it in one of the kitchen’s cabinets, or just cover it somehow to match your interior.
Routers, AC units, Electric Panels And Alarm Systems
Routers and alarm systems may be rather ugly, and who wants to look at them all the day? Realize a couple of very simple DIY projects to hide them. For example, you may take book spines and glue them to each other creating a secret storage space, place your router inside. Alarm systems and electric panels on the walls may be hidden with various memo boards, paintings, gallery walls and just photos and paintings you like.
We are pretty sure that you’ll easily cover your AC unit outside with some screen or box but what about inside? It’s more difficult because you shouldn’t prevent it from working and it should be looking cool. Make a carved veneer screen, frame it with a cabinet, add a chalkboard on it or a magnet or sliding panel to remove it when needed.
Appliances
If your appliances don’t look the best way, you can always spruce them up with some tape or chalkboard paint. Stainless steel contact paper can make any appliance stylish, and wallpapers or washi tape can make them look more cheerful, just let your imagination go wild.
Cords And Wires
Cords can be hidden in lots of different ways, here everything is up to you. You can place them in some bin, box or a drawer. If it’s impossible to hide the ugly cords, turn them into gorgeous ones covering them with large wooden beads, fabric.
Turn wires into wall art with wire blooms clips. You can create a whole wall art with cables if there’s no way to hide them, and they will add a modern flavor to your interior.
Bathtubs
An ugly built-in bathtub may be easily covered with air stone, wood, plywood, tiles or anything else that you consider proper.
Pet Feeding Stations
Hide your pet feeding spot and all the necessary things into one cabinet to make it all look neat and stylish. You can use your kitchen island or any other kitchen cabinet to build in a feeding station there.
