Exposed brick has become a huge trend in décor and it’s here to stay because more and more designers use it when creating various spaces, from kids’ rooms to kitchens. Today I’d like to inspire you to make such a wall or wall in your home office.
A home office isn’t a usual living space, it’s a space purposed to work, so you have to make it functional and work-inspiring yet homey and cozy. Exposed brick walls will make you think of work like no other, and they are edgy and lively, they will make your home office super cool and fun.
Whitewashed Brick
Some of you are worried about bringing too much red to the space: it fits not every interior and doesn’t make you think of work much. The easiest way is to whitewash your brick as white easily blends almost any room décor: industrial, minimalist, Scandinavian, modern and vintage. Opt for uneven finishes to make the brick walls messy and more architectural-looking. If you want a refined look, cover the wall with several coats of white paint. If you don’t have brick walls and don’t want much fuss, just take faux brick panels or wallpaper in the colors and shades you like.
Red Brick
There’s nothing better than a red brick wall because it’s timeless and awesome. Any modern home office will win from making such a wall or walls, rough red brick add texture to the décor, and even the simplest space will look cooler. Make sure that it’s finished and sealed properly to produce an effect or go for red brick panels and wallpapers. The best styles here are industrial, traditional and eclectic but almost any modern home office will look great with them if decorated right. Red brick can contrast with light-colored furniture and black items, too, so it will add contrast anyway.
Dark Brick
Black or just dark brick is a new and fresh take on two previous options, which are more traditional ones. Black brick looks very eye-catchy and it brings no less texture than red or white. It’s ideal for masculine spaces and just dark moody ones: industrial, eclectic, modern, minimalist and rustic ones.
Grunge Brick
Rebel against boring walls with this brick effect! Full of texture and character, aged brick walls is a perfect backdrop to grungy interiors. Bringing the rough and ready look to your home in a contemporary way. Try aged brick panels and wallpapers if you don’t want to make usual ones and then finish them in a grunge way.
