This home belongs to a famous stylist who is sure that furniture doesn't have to match, only the colors should.

Lene Ostenfeldt is one of the regular stylists at Bo Bedre, and her home in Holbæk is full of personality. The designer thinks that furniture and accessories do not have to fit together, the point is to harmonize the colors, so you can mix wildly and get rid of a lot, but still have a delicious look.

Lene is particularly fond of working with dark colors and contrast them to bright colors and chalk whites: coffee brown, caramel hues, black, gray and chalk white details are key design elements to her home. She completed the look with steel and brass and leather, and colorful details like a moody green wall add even more personality.

The living room is done in white and teal, the floors are covered with light-colored wood. There’s a grey sofa and brown furniture, there’s a fur covered chair and a fluffy rug. An oversized artwork makes a statement, and the uncovered window fills the space with light.

The dining space united with a living room and this zone is done in contrasting black and white with wooden floors for a soft feel. There’s a black and white photo, a stack of books right on the floor under the window.

The home office is pretty small, it’s black and white, stained wooden floors. The desk is partly attached to the window and a couple of stools. A small sideboard in the corner is covered with a stack of books.

The kitchen looks like a Scandinavian space with retro touches. It’s all-white, with black and white floors, the furniture is white, the countertops are done in natural wood, and so is the desk. An open cupboard displays dishes and plates. One wall is chalkboard, which inspires creativity and lets leaving various helpful notes.
