Every year Pantone agency announces colors of the year, one or several for various seasons. According to them, the color of the coming year is ultra violet. We are head over heels about this color, it’s bold, mood-raising and cheerful, and may add a lively feel to any space, from a luxe to a boho chic one. How to incorporate such a bold shade into your home decor? first of all, don’t be excessive with it, so that your violet touches stood out more. Don’t design a whole all-violet space, it’s tasteless. A Statement Wall
If you feel daring, make a violet statement wall – it can be done in any space, from a kitchen to a sleeping zone. If it’s a home office, make matching floating shelves and a floating desk attached to the wall. In a bedroom it can be a headboard wall, in the bathroom it can be a sink wall, violet is a fresh take on traditional blues that are used for bathroom decor. In living rooms or bedrooms you can place some matching violet upholstered furniture, curtains or a rug to keep the decor.

If you don’t feel like cardinal changes in your space, you may go for violet furniture. Modern designers present refined violet chairs, sofas, beds, bookshelves or sideboards. The more neutral your space is, the more a violet piece or pieces will stand out. Though violet items will also fit an eclectic space, an exquisite and just modern bold one and you can combine it with various bold shades like fuchsia, pink, red, blue or emerald.

An upholstered violet bed is sure to add a bold eye-catchy touch to your bedroom, and a violet bookcase will accentuate your books. Don’t be excessive with ultra violet, it’s very bold and to make the piece stand out it’s better to limit the amount of furniture in this color.
