Gallery walls being an Instagram hit and a super hot trend in home decor always catch an eye and tell the story of the home. But what if you don’t have enough space for a large gallery wall? Or what if you don’t have many art pieces or you are a minimalist who wants to reduce the number of pieces around? Then you may go for a mini gallery wall with just a few pieces that will still add interest to the space and make it cooler! We’ve prepared some ideas of such gallery walls, let’s dive in!
How To Design A Mini Gallery Wall?
Gallery walls are usually grid or free form ones, the first giving a more elegant touch to the space, the latter looking more creative and eye-catchy. But a mini gallery wall in a grid looks a bit boring as you have very few pieces, I’d say it will work only with two artwork pieces. For three or four artwork items a free form will be much better. As you don’t have many artworks, a catchy shape will help them stand out. Create your layout using your PC or paper, make a photo with your phone and repeat it on the wall.

What Frames To Use For Mini Gallery Walls?
The frames you are using can be mismatching or matching, matching ones are great for grid gallery walls, while free form ones may use mismatching but still somehow unified frames – black and gold, for example, or matching in orientation, or of the same type of wood. If you are rocking a free form gallery wall, you need something cohesive in it, and your frames can help with them.

Where To Place A Mini Gallery Wall?
A mini gallery wall, thanks to its size, can be placed literally anywhere, even in the smallest corner, and this is the main advantage of such decor. You can create one not only in a bedroom or a living room where we usually have a whole black wall but also in a tiny powder room or a bathroom. A mini gallery wall can take place over your nightstand, over your dining table or bathtub. Choose lovely art or personal pics that will catch an eye, even though there are just a couple of pieces.
