This original 635 sq ft loft apartment is situated in Gothenburg, Sweden. The first thing that impresses here is how modern, almost minimalist design is combined with cozy vintage touches. The space is monochromatic – black and white – and though the floors, walls and furniture are mostly modern, there are some pretty vintage accessories and hints like a stylized hearth in the corner, a couple of furniture pieces and of course the dark wooden beams that were left as they are and just painted. I think these beams give the space its personality and create a bind between the past and the present. A smart idea is placing the bedroom in the upper part of the loft to make the space more intimate. All in all, the loft turned out very laconic and inviting.
