The holidays have passed but we have an eye-candy from them: this is a stunning Danish loft decorated for the holidays, get ready to swoon over! This 118 square meter apartment is located in Copenhagen, Denmark, but it has a Moroccan feel. The owners consider that making something for the home themselves is the best way to personalize it, so they made a lot.
The ceilings are really high, and the owners took an advantage from that: they filled the loft with light and kept it white for even more light reflected. The original wooden beams gave the living room that cozy rustic feel we love. The owners used them to hang some ornaments and lights for the holidays. The wooden floors are whitewashed for a Scandinavian feel, and you can see a faux Christmas tree with no décor, just some pinecones around it. there’s a basket with firewood and pinecones next to it to add a cozy touch.
The seating area has a modern blue sofa and a rustic coffee table, and I can say that the way and harmony the pieces interact are amazing! There’s a fireplace in the corner, it’s used not only for a cool look but also for warmth. All the striped rags were brought from Morocco.
The bedroom is simple, clean and attic. There’s a small round window and the bedding sticks to the color scheme chosen: it’s pale blue. The bedroom is very cozy and not lit up – who needs much light in a place to relax?
The bathroom is also white, with white subway tiles and wooden floors. Small wooden and rattan touches here and there make the space cozier. Even the faucets are kept antique to avoid too much shining and make the bathroom peaceful.
