Designer Cristian Zuzunaga created Deep Grid rug, an award winning pixelated rug, in collaboration with Kidderminster-based carpet manufacturers Brintons. The rug is inspired by the contemporary relevance of the antique fabrics and design papers in Brintons’ archive. It engages with squares and colors to repeat, reproduce and build creative new patterns from unique formal prototypes. The mandala styling and repeating symmetry is the motif; minute shapes creating new shapes, building from the tiny abstract pixel to the maximal image. These bright rugs with philosophical design are great for any modern space – they definitely make a statement!
