The more flexible and functional the furniture is, the better! It means that you will always have enough furniture if your guests come and you won’t have to puzzle over where to accomodate them. Designer Marcus Voraa was inspired exactly by this situation and decided to create a furniture piece that was flexible enough to accommodate groups of different size.
This table is called “@” for the shape it creates, and it features a crank and loosely connected slats that can be rolled up or rolled out to save space or make room for more people. Simply extend the nesting legs on one side and “unwind” the top surface to extend the length of the table. When you’re finished using it, just wind it up with the steel crank and voila. All you have to worry about it where to find some additional chairs. In beautiful beech wood with a beeswax finish, it’s a handsome statement piece that users will grow to love through unique interaction.
