Nowadays more and more designers try to create furniture or even different appliances which are inspired by nature and allow us to appreciate the genius of nature shapes. Designer Balin Lee shows how an idea of the construction of an usual tree can be adapted to futuristic interior design. On the recent Electrolux Design Lab Competition he has presented the high-tech Kitchen Tree. Thanks to the original shape this model can be very functional and at the same time quite compact. The centre part is a refrigeration unit, which is connected with five pods by easy adjustable hollow branches. There are different pods available. That could be as a simple container with the controlled temperature as even small sensory sink. This unique appliance also has many others interesting and practical options and probably in the future many of us will have such Kitchen Tree in our apartments. [via Home Tone]
