Many designers prefer to unite living rooms and kitchens, whether it’s a small or a big house, it makes the space more airy and it looks bigger. Creating a smart transition or completely merging the two spaces may be tricky but here’s a cool idea to unite these two zones in one and keep them cool.
This is a modern space with a couple of industrial touches. The kitchen is really small, it’s a nook and to make it look larger the designers made it uncluttered and hid everything they could. Dark matter cabinets and white countertops with a couple of built-in appliances is everything that you need to cook. The kitchen nook is separated from the eating zone with a space divider made from metal and wooden planks, which may be used for hanging shelves. The dining table is a part of an open shelving unit where potted herbs are grown. The industrial lamps hanging from above give enough light to the kitchen nook and dining area.
The walls in the living room are covered with concrete, which echoes with matte finish of the cabinets. A black and white gallery wall above the TV unit is a stylish idea. There’s also a wooden wall-mount shelf for storage, and it’s made of the same wood as chairs and the space divider. Dark grey is the main shade all over the zone, and a sectional sofa and a fluffy rug are done in this color. Ceiling to floor windows let a lot of light in, an oversized artwork is a cool statement and a sleek coffee table reminds of the laconic kitchen décor.
