This modern concrete apartment by architects de Rijke Marsh Morgan (dRMM) boasts a structure of concrete that gives an industrial feel. The apartment is a modern and colorful man’s cave with an airy feel.
The interiors have the look of an industrial loft with an open floor plan, the apartment looks very spacious, warm and inviting. Concrete can be seen here and there, it’s not just rough grey but also light and cream.
The bright orange kitchen is a nice juxtaposition to the concrete walls. Everything here is clean and minimalist, all the appliances are hidden within the cabinets to give the kitchen an uncluttered look. The dining area is clad with warm wood to accentuate this zone and to make it cozier.
A wall unit serves as an additional support for the upper floor and is also very functional and cool. I like the idea of placing a motorcycle as a part of home décor, it gives the space a man-like ambience, while bold colors keep it cheerful.
The bedroom is simple and very laconic: concrete walls and ceiling are softened with the help of warm wood on the floor. Leather is used for the headboard and chairs to remind that it’s a man’s home.
The master bedroom is softer as the bed is made of the same light wood. The shelves all around the window are for the owner’s shoes as he loves fashion and trends.
A simple sitting room is decorated just with a couple of bold red chairs and a coach to enjoy the views. Nothing here distracts attention from the fresh views.
