Sometimes small moments matter more than the overall experience, and this isn’t only about emotions, it’s also about interiors. A tiny pop of color in an unexpected place can change the whole perception of the room and give it much more character than a large bold feature. We’ve gathered some examples of such color touches, take a look and I’m sure you’ll want to have something like that.
Colorful Trim
Colorful trim, frames and sides are really my favorites and you’ll see why: an all-white space with a bold ceiling trim looks and feels absolutely different. A bold yellow window frame will create a feeling of sunshine in the space. A bright door side makes you feel a person who found out a secret. A colorful doorway in a total-grey space tells you that the owners love minimals and basics but they love a bit of fun, too. Such features are very easy to add yourself, and you won’t spend much time or effort.

Though the nook is quite neutral, a bright green window frame, terrazzo stool and colored furniture give it interest.

Bold Stairs Decor
Your staircase is a very functional piece: besides going up and down, it’s often used for storage or even whole rooms under it. More than that, a staircase can make your entryway special and bold telling the story of the house. To do so, you can rock bold railing or banister in the monochromatic space, or go for a stairs liner with a bright trim. Don’t overdo, add just a little color, and it will leave a lasting impression.

Paint or cover your risers with wallpaper to add a bit of color to the space. Here the yellow riser echoes with the matching lamp.
Bright Furniture Accents
Colorful furniture is definitely a bold statement but you may have even more impact adding just one colorful touch to the piece. Bold legs, bright mirror or picture frame will infuse your interior with color without overdoing it. The cabinets might also have bold backing done with paint or wallpaper, and matching shelves. Such cabinets create a bold and cool backdrop for displaying objects.

Bright wallpaper or painted backing always add an unexpected touch to the furniture item.

Even if you have a very neutral bathroom, you can totally change its look with just one detail: colorful grout. Hot pink, yellow, green and red grout will make the space eye-catchy and fun without being too much in your face. Get inspired!
