An old wooden chalet in the Swiss Alps was renovated into this cool wooden cabin – Maison Boisset by Savioz Fabrizzi Architectes. The advantage was taken from the surrounding landscape. The exterior was left untouched, the original parts were just renovated for safety, while the stone foundation supports the wooden construction above. This rugged exterior is contrasted to the modern interior. The amazing feature of the interior is larch panels with which all the rooms are decorated. Giant windows let much light in and simple interior doesn’t distract attention from the panoramic views of the mountains. It’s a new look on how a simple mountain cottage should look, modern, minimalist while cozy and inviting.
