Designer Paolo Ulian presented a new and absolutely gorgeous sink called Introverso for Antonio Lupi.
Antonio Lupi aims at surprising the audience with white Carrara marble, which is an ancient and luxurious material. The unique design has nothing classic in its look, but unbelievable charm appears due to the luxurious marble and its inherent purity. The sink has many layers of marble outside, which are partially removed by craftsmen as if they are creating a sculpture. The internal silhouette also varies widening or tapering towards the center, as well as in an hourglass shape.
The idea of creating this sink was born from the observation of the skill processing of marble sculptures, which involves several stages, produced with equipment with numerical control and a diamond disc.
Innovative technology enables to cut a refined form of monolithic marble and have a distinct physical and visual shape. Marble block loses its monolithic appearance and is transformed into something ethereal, transparent, contains secret. The soul that can remain hidden, reveals the subtle play of light, or, perhaps, reveals itself. But the key feature of this model is that swiping your finger on the marble slabs, you can hear the soft, natural music emanating from the heart of stone.
