I’m a sucker for seaside homes as having such a space is so amazing and so dreamy! A seaside home in Vila do Conde brings in the beach and strikes with its architecture and design as the owners asked architect Ernesto Pereira to create a unique “work of art” under no budget constraints or deadline. White stucco clads sheltering walls, while silver wood slats line openings like doors, windows, and terraces. Having diagonal wood slats make spaces more dynamic, and in a way enable greater use of the material. The interior is modern, warm, clad in natural wood; coming from a family of carpenters, the architect designed and constructed the house’s wooden cabinets, furniture, and even flooring.
