This extension to the Victorian home was inspired by the existing geometry of the house and garden. The modern addition to the house is clad in seamless black zinc, with standing seams tracing a path across the roof, emphasising its complex topography. It extends the lines of the living room and the external rear wall of the kitchen. One side of it is a working surface while the other one is a seating area. A cantilevered island unit clad in seamless black granite delineates the kitchen from the seating area. Thanks to the transparent walls owners could admire views of the garden and themselves closer to the nature.
