This beautiful Cape Dutch style farmhouse is idyllically situated near Hermanus, South Africa. It is home to a young family of four and a boutique wine label. On the outside you see a beautiful white, thatch-roofed homestead surrounded by a green lawn and white roses. The interior is a laid-back-sophisticated style – with dark wood, worn leather and various shades of white. The décor of the house is all about delicate features, it’s beauty is in details and textures as it seems simple only at first sight.
The kitchen is one of the coziest spaces here, the ceiling is very tall, antique, with wooden beams, which gives a mood to the spaces and makes it comfier. There’s a large cooking area with an L-shaped kitchen island, industrial lamps hanging over it and exposed pipes add an industrial touch. A long dining table is vintage and rustic, it’s placed in the center of the kitchen.
The master bedroom features a comfy bed, vintage nightstands and lamps and an artwork that is standing right on the floor. To make the décor not boring the designers made whitewashed wooden beams, a jute rug and wood floors, which add texture to the bedroom and make it look luxurious.
The bathroom has a free-standing bathtub by the window to enjoy the view; the window is decorated with shutters to keep privacy. A vintage rug and a simple wooden chair add coziness to the space. the furniture in the house is like that on the whole: it’s rustic, vintage and very simple.
