Alex Brokamp, an industrial designer located in Cincinnati, Ohio, is producing design-focused objects and furniture with simple silhouettes in a fun range of color. Take a look at his debut collection, which launched at this year’s Architectural Digest Design Show.
Taking inspiration from mountains, the Peak and Valley Coffee Table features a “peak” that acts as a page holder for your book or magazine and a “valley” that can house your magazines. The table comes in various color combinations.
Much like the previously mentioned coffee table, the Peak Side Table works the same way by hold your place in a book.
The Finger Floor Light references your digits with a diffuser that mimics the fingernail and gives off a warm glow. The Nub Side Table is the perfect place to catch all of your belongings or to sit next to a sofa.
The Bump Mirror comes in several colors and finishes and was inspired by speed bumps on the road. The mirror suggests slowing down to check yourself before you leave home.
The Color Clock changes depending on the light and angle you’re viewing it at as its reflective face bounces back different iridescent colors.
The Claw Pendant is held up by a claw-like structure reminiscent of the claw machines you see in arcades. A mirrored silver crown bulb rests below a reflective disc producing different color changes and reflections.
