We’ve already shared many decor ideas for various styles: shabby chic, vintage, Provence, minimalist and many other but we’ve missed one popular style that is taking over all of them – modern decor style. Modernism is chic, stylish, laconic and really gorgeous without too many unnecessary details.
Modern decor style means laconic colors: beige, white, grey, black, various shades of brown and maybe some colorful touches but it’s not obligatory. It can be a neutral, monochrome or even moody space, which is characterized with clean lines and angles. To add interest to such a room designers use various textures like stone, concrete, metal and tiles, and different textiles, plus various cool modern lighting clusters and chandeliers add eye-catchiness.
Neutral Rooms
Neutrals are timeless, and they are ideal for many reasons: neutrals make any space look bigger and look very inviting. White, shades of beige and grey – it’s up to you how to mix them and what shades to stick to. To make it bolder you can add natural wood panels and furniture, a glass coffee table on shiny metal legs and welcoming textiles: a fluffy rug, upholstery, pillows and curtains.

Monochromatic Rooms
A monochromatic space looks bolder than a neutral one – go for black and white or white and grey to show off the contrast. The contrast may be achieved using dark or black furniture, making a dark accent wall or fireplace. We strongly recommend to combine black, white and light-colored or rich-colored wood items to make the space not cold and more eye-catching.

Moody Rooms
Moody spaces are extremely popular now, such decor is a hot trend, and I can’t name another style that would look as cool as modern style in moody shades. Rock shades of grey, brown and of course black in the combos that appeal to you, and don’t forget to get enough light – make large windows or even glazed walls to establish strong connection with outdoors and bring much natural light in. Add eye-catchy lights in clusters and go for various light layers to make the space cozy.
