This gorgeous contemporary home is located in Bulgaria and was designed with a moody color palette except for the kids' room.
ALL in Studio was tasked with designing the SPV29 home in Sofia, Bulgaria for a young couple and their two children that’s located in a residential complex with building requirements. Their goal was to create a comfortable city retreat that’s both sophisticated and high-tech, and also close to nature.
The interior leans heavily on black surfaces that are paired with warm woods and neutral terrazzo floors for a cozy yet modern aesthetic. Moody color palettes are very popular now and they bring a relaxing feel at once, so choosing one for this dwelling except for the kids’ room was a good idea. To finish out the spaces, they incorporated copper and brass elements which add to the sophistication.
The center island in the kitchen is all-black, right down to the sink, faucet, and stove. Surrounding it are walls of herringbone wood panels that hide the cabinets for a minimalist feel. The master bedroom also incorporates wood with the wall behind the bed covered in vertically notched wooden panels. Black toned glass separates the closet and the bathroom, which features a freestanding bathtub and a mirrored wall behind the sink cabinet. The children’s rooms mark a turn from the rest of the home’s decor with softer tones, open spaces, and playful surprises throughout. Get more of this beautiful home below!
Stone, graphite and black surfaces were softened with wood and warm metals - copper and gold plus a firewood storage unit like here.
To compensate the dark shades, there was much light on different levels provided here and there.
The kichen is done with wooden cabinets that hide everythign behind the doors and a black kitchen island.
The dining space is done with a square metal table and comfortable modern chairs with upholstery, look at the gorgeous faceted lamps over them.
The master bedroom features a wooden wall, a glazed wall that can be covered with curtains and mismatching bedside tables.
There's a comfortable closet next to the bedroom, done in the same color and material palette.
The master bathroom is next to it, it's done in white and navy and the wall between it and the closet is of smoked glass.
The kid's room is done in pink and white, though it's rather long and narrow, there's everything necessary.
