More and more designers get inspired by various celestial bodies creating items that resemble them or their functions. Today we are featuring one more piece inspired by celestial bodies, this is the moon and New Moon table accordingly.
Enzo Berti’s New Moon Table for Kreoo is an exercise in formal exploration as well as a study into the compositional possibilities of marble. Moon is not a single table but rather a series of variations on a theme, as the different colors, textures, and forms invoke the subtle changes of different lunar phases.
Using the elemental materials of marble, wood, and metal, Berti provokes a dialogue among the different tabletops, creating an effect of movement and transformation. New Moon is available in multiple iterations—full and partial circles in wood (Bianco, Terra, Noce, Invecchiato) and marble (seven different patterns and colors, from the verdant Verde Irlanda to the ominous Nero Marquina). Get several New Moon tables and create a stylish cluster of them showing off the moon cycles – such an elegant take on trendy galaxy decor!
