If your dining area seems boring and not comfy to you, it’s high time to change something! Interested what to change? There are some cool ways to do that without breaking the bank, and today I’m going to share them with you, so every your meal will be amazing!
Chairs
Chairs are one of the simplest ways to change your dining space and not to break the bank – they won’t cost as much as a designer’s dining table. Dining chairs can make a bold statement and create a contrast with the table, which can be really simple, and I must say that many modern designers opt for very calm dining tables making an accent with chairs, so why not follow this trend?
Buy a set of amazing upholstered chairs that fit your style: glam, art deco, mid-century modern, minimalist, rustic or some other. Mismatching bold chairs with different upholstery also look cool and trendy. If you don’t have money to change the whole set, you can just paint the existing ones with some bright paint or cover them with some printed covers.
Lamps
Another easy and budget-savvy way to add interest to your dining area is to hang some new and cool lighting fixtures, this is actual both for open plan spaces or for separate rooms. It can be a stunning chandelier, oversized and sparkling for a glam or art deco space, or rain drop imitating for creating a mood. You can also try a combo of some lights – they may be different in sizes and shapes but in the same style. Geometric, metallic, fabric, wicker, glass – there are a lot of ideas to try and to add texture and interest to the space.
Artworks
An artwork or a photo can absolutely change the space, add cheer, create a mood, refresh the area and so on. Choose a large scale one in some contrasting colors to make a chic statement, let it cover the whole wall if needed. You can always make it yourself or just print out one of your favorite photos to create a mood in the dining space. If you have a super bold dining area, try a graphic black and white wall art to calm the space down, and if you have a very laconic space, think of a bright and bold artwork.
