This house is an another great work by the great Chilean architect studio, dRN Architects (Nicolás del Río and Max Núñez). It’s located on the Tacna Hill, south of Maitencillo, a well known Chilean beach resort. The house occupied 122 square meters near to a forest and the Pacific Ocean. As any beach house should be this one is the great place to relax, rest and gather with family and friends. It is basically an elevated platform, 3.8mts above ground level, which holds the two independent volumes of living and bedrooms, and a third one underneath, for visitor’s bedrooms. These volumes are freely placed on the platform, to leave part of it unoccupied, so interiors can easily incorporate exteriors. The platform’s height and plan rotation, grants the best view, towards the Ocean and the Summer sunset. The House is built in impregnated pine wood, as it is most of the neighbouring houses, only in 10 months.
