Japanese love to minimalism and everything ergonomic is known all over the world. Here is a perfect example of Japanese design – traditional Hirosaki Knife Box with individual drawers, by designer Keiji Ashizawa. The knife box is made of Paulownia, a native Asian wood, and the dovetail-shaped connection rails are made from Hirosaki’s apple trees. The box is done without unnecessary decorations, just functionality and style and nothing else. As it’s a knife box for guys, I’m sure that they’ll appreciate it.
