There was a tradition to dress up for dinner, to choose clothes and jewelry and enjoy the meal with the whole family; now this tradition is in the past but Dutch designer Marianne van Ooij decided to remind of that with the help of this tableware collection called Dressed for Dinner. This is sculpture and tableware in one – the designer says that these pieces are mostly to admire and if you risk to eat from them or not – it’s up to you to decide. These plates are so impressive and surrealistic – especially one with kind of a zip fastener – even if you don’t want to use them, just put the items in the kitchen and enjoy the surrealistic impression they make!
