This desk is very unusual, it was inspired by the cantilever principal – it’s Piergil Fourquié’s Big Boss desk with a lacquered metal skirt that provides a solid volume “on which the entire desk depends.” The main contrast is the light oak suspended top which juts out over an empty space. The choice of materials remind of a ‘sports coupe’ car: the metallic exterior reflects the immediate environment and hides the user’s legs while the interior leather creates a warm protective cocoon. The elegance of the desk would hide very well all the cables, wires and a drawer for some personal things. A very unusual piece!
