We’ve seen many original cement lamp designs and here’s one more cool light to the collection – Soft Light by Austrian designer Rainer Mutsch, created for Italian lighting brand Molto Luce. Cement is a very solid material but these lamps seem appear soft and pliable. Each individual luminaire shade is molded manually from soft fiber cement: the shades get their stability through their slightly rippled geometry, which eventually leads to a minimum of material thickness. The good news is that it’s produced using an eco-friendly process using natural resources like water and cellulose fibers. The Soft series consists of a wall light, a bar pendant light and a large pendant light.
