If you love nature and woods, if want to be closer to it and breathe fresh air in, you’ll be excited to see this retreat high in the North Carolina mountains. There is a central grand hall flanked by smaller wings housing bedrooms, a den, a kitchen, and a study. Everything is made of logs reclaimed from three 150-plus-year-old cabins from Kentucky and Tennessee, they remained unpainted and that helps the house to integrate into the surrounding nature. The interior is rather simple and traditional, with English shooting lodge – antler chandeliers, natural wood pieces and wall art. The house is very cozy and inviting, and it blends into the forest perfectly – an ideal place for relaxing far from big cities.
